Hi, I’m Ahmet Akdag, an industrial designer based in Germany. At Akdag Design, I focus on creating smart, sustainable products that are built to last. With years of experience in industrial design, product development, and tooling, I’m able to deliver innovative, production-ready solutions quickly—without ever cutting corners on quality.
My goal is to help clients stay competitive by designing products that not only meet their needs but also offer a great user experience. I believe that good design should be enjoyable, long-lasting, and easy to repair or recycle at the end of its life. To me, the most sustainable products are those with a long lifespan and a circular lifecycle.

Work
I had the opportunity to work on the new GEOS GmbH titanium bicycle frame and was allowed to design the gearbox mount. It was an honor and a lot of fun.

Die Komponente wird im Titan-Lasersinterverfahren gedruckt und mit dem Fahrradrahmen verschweißt. Ziel war ein funktionelles Design mit gewölbten Flächen und durchgehenden Linien zu entwerfen. “Geos GmbH is developing a bicycle frame made of titanium. Ahmet Akdag developed the product design for the gearbox mount. The component is printed using the titanium laser sintering process and welded to the bicycle frame. The aim was to create a functional design with curved surfaces and continuous lines. Ahmet Akdag solved the task brilliantly. He has created an independent design that harmonizes perfectly with the bicycle frame.
